Presentation:
Morning Class – 8:00 am – 12:00 pm:
What Was the Designer Thinking? Come and join the discussion and learn about why designers do strange things when trying to create a sprinkler system within the rules and regulations forced on them! We’ll answer questions like: “How can I be 11’-3” from that corner with a sprinkler?”
How Much is Too Much Stuff on a Sprinkler? In this session, we will discuss the recent Underwriter’s Laboratory research into the operation of “loaded” sprinklers. We’ll also discuss what is and isn’t a deficiency on a sprinkler system.
Afternoon Class – 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm:
Designing with the Installer in Mind. We’ll have a discussion about best practices used in the field for installing sprinkler systems and how this should affect the design of a system. We will talk dollars for materials versus costs for man-hours. We’ll answer the question, “How can I best serve the field?”
10-Quick Lessons About Things You Thought You Knew. Even the most experienced designers do not know everything! We will discuss 10 simple (not easy) things you thought you understood. We’ll explain the reasons behind some of the rules you often overlook, forget about, or just never knew.
