What type of buildings require fire sprinklers per the International Building Code (IBC).
Class Objectives:
1. Participants will be able to classify occupancies in accordance the 2021 International Building Code (IBC)
2. Participants will understand how fire sprinkler system requirements can be applied to different building areas using fire area separations.
3. Participants will learn how to determine whether or not a building or area requires sprinkler protection per the IBC.
Presenter:
Julie Brown, Coffman Engineers. Julie Brown, PE is a registered PE in the field of fire protection with 14 years of experience. She is the Discipline Lead for Fire Protection Engineering in Coffman Engineers' Denver office. Julie specializes in collaboration with architectural/engineering teams on the design and construction of new and renovated buildings in the public and private sectors. Julie is currently serving as Chapter President for the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE RMC).
CFPA is registered through ICC Preferred and will provide 0.1 CEUs for this event.
